Bear & Son Cutlery® has resurrected a popular folding-knife design from a bygone era with its new 737 Farmhand.
As its name implies, this all-purpose design was once highly favored by farmhands and others at a time when
practical, no-nonsense tools were prized above all others.
Now Bear & Son Cutlery has turned this timeless design into a contemporary masterpiece using modern materials
that make it an even better value than its predecessors. The Bear & Son Cutlery Farmhand’s 3 5/8 in. blade is
made of high-carbon 440 rust-resistant stainless steel, with the highest strength, wear resistance and hardness of
all the stainless alloys, and much better edge retention than is possible with lower-quality blades. Whether you
take this innovative knife camping, hunting or just use it for countless general tasks around the house, the
Bear & Son Cutlery Farmhand’s drop-point blade design is ideal for general-purpose use — featuring a stronger
point than clip-point blades, with a long belly for slicing. Plus, its edge is hollow-ground, resulting in an extremely
sharp blade that’s easy to re-sharpen and care for.
Durability of this classic slip-joint, folding design is enhanced with the use of stainless steel liners and a black
Delrin® handle. Collectors will appreciate the knife’s use of Bear & Son Cutlery’s Dated Dotted System, which lets
the collector know at a glance when the knife pattern was manufactured.
Like all Bear & Son Cutlery products, the 737 Farmhand is proudly made in the U.S.A. in Bear & Son Cutlery’s
fully self-contained factory. Unlike knife-makers who assemble knives from parts bought from various suppliers,
Bear & Son Cutlery creates all of their renowned products in-house, from building blanking dies to heat treating,
grinding and assembly, and hand-finishing. This allows Bear & Son Cutlery to maintain high standards of quality
at an affordable price.
